A first class transformation

Boston College

At the end of the 1993 football season, Boston College’s Alumni Stadium was the smallest and least equipped stadium in its conference. Nine months later, it was transformed into a first class Division 1-A facility. ARC designed this new 44,500-seat facility to fit between Conte Forum and a 350-car parking garage. This was accomplished by replacing all of the lower stands and constructing two 6-story buildings in the end zones. Each of the new end-zone structures accommodates VIP boxes located between the upper and lower stands. Concessions and support facilities were constructed under the lower stands.
