Happy ARCers

Space for designers and creators from all walks of life.

Whatever your background and whatever your role, when you join the ARC team, you become part of a creative family that believes collaboration produces the very best work. We explore together and support one another. In the process, we create spaces that inspire, uplift, and endure.

ARC is a 40-person design firm based in Boston, built around the idea that thoughtful design comes from listening, collaboration, and a genuine exchange of ideas. We work across athletics and wellness, education, arts, and science, often on complex projects where relationships and trust matter as much as design.

We are a small firm by choice. That means people are close to the work, close to clients, and close to decision-making. It also means there is real opportunity to shape how things are done.

We are at a moment of transition in our marketing team and see it as an opportunity to rethink how we pursue work, tell our story, and connect more directly with clients. We’re looking for someone who is excited by that opportunity and wants to help build what comes next.

We value people who are curious and creative, not in a performative way, but in how they think, write, and make. The best ideas here tend to come from people who are engaged in the work and willing to explore, test, and refine them alongside others.

The Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager who will play a central role in how we win work. This is a hands-on position, working closely with principals and our Business Development Manager to shape pursuits, develop proposals and presentations, and bring clarity and direction to our marketing efforts.

This role is intended to grow into a Director position over time. We’re looking for someone who is ready to step into leadership, but who still enjoys being in the work, writing, shaping ideas, and working side-by-side with teams.

This is a role for someone who enjoys both the strategic and creative sides of marketing, shaping how we pursue work and how we express it.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with firm leadership and our Business Development Manager to shape pursuit strategy and positioning
  • Develop and refine proposal and interview narratives, staying actively involved from kickoff through delivery
  • Write and edit proposals and presentations, helping translate complex work into clear, compelling and thoughtfully crafted stories
  • Develop and advance approaches to visual storytelling, including the use of data and graphics to communicate the impact of our work
  • Partner closely with a Marketing Lead to produce thoughtful, well-crafted materials
  • Lead the awards process, collaborate on thought leadership, and PR efforts that support how we pursue work and present the firm
  • Help bring structure and clarity to our marketing systems, templates, and workflows
  • Track opportunities and help maintain continuity between business development efforts and active pursuits
  • Oversee and coordinate project photography and videography, shaping how ARC’s work is documented and shared
  • Guide how ARC approaches social media as an extension of our work, how we show up externally, including LinkedIn and Instagram, ensuring our voice is consistent and aligned with our work

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–12+ years of experience in AEC marketing
  • A strong track record contributing to and leading successful pursuits
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to find the story in the work
  • A creative, thoughtful approach to storytelling and communication
  • Comfort working directly with principals and contributing to strategy
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach, someone who is as comfortable doing the work as guiding it
  • Interest in growing into a Director-level leadership role

Salary Range Information

  • $95,000, with a path to Director

We are at a moment of transition in our marketing team and see it as an opportunity to rethink how we pursue work, tell our story, and connect more directly with clients. We’re looking for someone who is excited by that opportunity and wants to help build what comes next.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Lead who enjoys the pace and energy of pursuits and takes pride in producing thoughtful, well-crafted work. This role is central to our day-to-day marketing efforts, leading proposals and presentations while working closely with firm leadership.

You’ll have real ownership and visibility, managing multiple pursuits at once and helping shape how we present ourselves to clients. This is not a production-only role, we’re looking for someone who wants to think, contribute, and grow.

This is a role for someone who enjoys making things, someone who takes pride in how work is presented and is interested in finding thoughtful, creative ways to communicate it. You’ll be trusted to run with work, not just support it, and to take ownership of both the process and the final product.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the development of proposals and interview materials from kickoff through submission
  • Manage schedules, coordinate content, and keep teams aligned and moving forward
  • Design and produce proposals and presentations using InDesign and related tools, with an emphasis on clarity, craft, and thoughtful visual communication
  • Write and edit content, working with project teams to develop clear, focused narratives
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to translate strategy into compelling, well-crafted materials
  • Maintain and improve proposal templates, project sheets, and supporting content
  • Support ongoing marketing content efforts, including maintaining and updating website content to reflect current work and firm priorities
  • Contribute to awards submissions and other marketing efforts as needed
  • Help carry ARC’s presence on LinkedIn and Instagram through project-based posts and content drawn from the work

What We’re Looking For

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing (AEC industry preferred)
  • Strong proposal experience, able to manage multiple pursuits independently
  • Excellent InDesign and layout skills
  • Strong writing and editing ability
  • A creative mindset, someone who cares about how ideas are expressed, not just assembled
  • Organized, proactive, and comfortable working with multiple teams and deadlines
  • Interest in growing into a more strategic marketing role over time

Salary Range Information

  • $75,000
