We are seeking a leader in science and technology, who is passionate about designing innovative spaces for discovery, exploration, and growth. Join and mentor our bright, dynamic, and creative team while creating bold, meaningful, and transformative environments for our clients. The ideal collaborator will have relevant experience in laboratory programming, planning and design for life sciences companies and academic institutions.

Qualifications, skills and responsibilities:

  • Planning experience on complex teaching and/or research science facilities
  • Serving as a primary client liaison to determine laboratory design criteria
  • Developing integrated laboratory concepts including special environmental and equipment driven criteria
  • Serving as an advocate for the laboratory design within the project team
  • Developing and coordinating room design criteria for projects, laboratory equipment lists, and casework layouts
  • Superb mentorship and coaching abilities
  • Track record for managing the production of drawings and project deliverables on time, and through all project phases
  • Exceptional Revit skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and graphic, communication skills
  • Excellent organizational/management skills, ability to work as part of team, ability to work well under pressure
  • Proactive and independent approach to work and ownership of assigned tasks

  • Minimum of 4+ years of recent design experience in athletics and wellness, science, higher education, arts and culture, or independent schools
  • Exceptional design, communication and project coordination and/or management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and client relationship skills

  • Professional degree in Interior Design
  • NCIDQ Certification preferred
  • Experience in space planning, design development, technical detailing and material and finish specifications, FF&E and furniture systems is essential
  • Proficiency with Revit, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office

  • General administrative/operations support
