The LEED Gold, multistory expansion of Genzyme's Allston biomanufacturing facility provides increased production and office support space to accommodate growth. The addition also houses a new cogeneration plant at the basement level.

Presentation Mode

Blending a biomanufacturing production space with office and administrative support spaces provided us an opportunity to create new collaboration spaces and elevate the workplace experience for all.

With sweeping views of the Charles River and Boston's skyline beyond, the glass facade provides an open and airy atmosphere for building occupants, creating a sustainable and healthful work environment.

In keeping with the client’s desire to express a more transparent and forward-looking design, ARC designed a modern new glass exterior for the addition. In addition to providing abundant natural light for employees, the energy savings contributed to a LEED Gold Certification.
